Attending live performances is very important in your musical journey. I know it is sometimes one of the only things that motivates me to start practicing! And now that you have worked a while to learn how to play violin, there will be a new appreciation and more details noticed, when viewing professionals. The Utah Symphony Youth Guild is a great way to become more involved with the Utah Symphony. Their annual family membership of $25 includes service projects, invitations to see "behind the scenes" and meet performing artists, and more. They also have a 4-concert ticket voucher for only $24 for students and $48 for parents. Their application is online at: https://www.utahsymphonyguild.org/youth-guild The Utah Symphony also offers a Student All-Access Season Pass, $59 for a student or $99 for student and guest (can be parent). This enables students to go to any concert during the regular 2018-2019 season as long as there is availability. Once you purchase your pass, you call in after 3pm the day of the performance to make sure there are seats (from my experience playing with the Utah Symphony they rarely sell out) and reserve your spot. Pass holder must be present at concert to pick up tickets.
