Congratulations on a wonderful solo recital! You all played your best and I am proud of
you all! I have a few announcements for
June.
First, I am collecting the Suzuki Association of Utah dues with the June tuition. Please remember to add an extra $25 (per family) to your payment. There are several activities to be involved with and I will let you know as they occur. You can also visit their website to check on things, SuzukiMusicUtah.org Second, Intermountain Suzuki String Institute is this month, June 13-18. There will be no lessons during this time because I will be in the teacher training workshops to become certified in Suzuki Books 2 and 3 (100 hours of training J. For those of you not attending the student portion, there is still an opportunity to experience institute. This year ISSI is waiving the observation fee for SAU student families. You can drop by Tuesday to Friday and find out what ISSI is all about. You just go to the information desk and get an observation guide and then can watch any class except Teacher Workshops. It is best to observe classes at your level, especially the group classes. Also, the summer and fall schedule is now out. If you know you will be gone during the
summer please let me know at your lesson and you can mark out your dates on my
master calendar and take another open spot. If you would like to check the
online calendar it is found at the studio website, KristianaSandberg.com or at
Google.com. Just remember, the new studio policy is no refunds for missed
lessons. It is your responsibility to
find a make-up lesson and I will be as accommodating as possible. I have added a bonus lesson (very beginning of September) to help with this. I will be giving a solo recital with Kimi Kawashima Sunday, June 26th. It will be at the Shepherd of the Mountains Church in Park City. We will be performing Mozart, Brahms, and Prokofiev. I hope you can all make it! Last, to remind you this month’s group lessons are Wednesday, June 8th from 10am-noon at Sugarhouse Park and Saturday, 25th from 10am-noon at Summerhays Music. The first hour is geared toward Book 1 students and the second hour is geared toward Book 2 and up. Please refer to the summer schedule at http://www.kristianasandberg.com/calendar-of-events for more summer events. Attendance is not mandatory but it is included in your monthly tuition and I expect students to attend if they are in town. We will be getting ready for our summer concert, A Night at the Movies, during these group lessons. I will be handing out music soon! Happy Practicing! Kristiana Sandberg |
